From the title of this blog post many of you know who I’m referring to when I say Lord Disick. For those of you who have been living under a rock, Lord Disick is Kourtney Kardashian’s ex-boyfriend Scott Disick.
Scott Disick was featured in an episode of Keeping Up with The Kardashians in which he became obsessed with royalty. Scott attended a ceremony crowing him with the name Lord which has stuck till today, what started as a joke is now Scott’s Instagram handle (@letthelordbewithyou).
For those of you who are still super confused….
Let me break it down for you simply:
1. Scott Disick uses Keeping Up with The Kardashians to gain a following
2. Scott Disick decides he’s too good to be just a normal person
3. Scott Disick becomes a lord
4. Scott Disick refers to himself as the lord and becomes famous memes
5. Scott Disick becomes extra famous
6. Scott Disick makes lots of $$$$
Scott Disick grew most of his fame from Kourtney Kardashian and his appearances on Keeping Up with the Kardashians (being a Kardashian’s boyfriend has its benefits). From there Scott became known for his witty lines and savage comments towards the Kardashians. That is when the Lord Disick really got his moment in the spotlight. Memes of the Lord were all over the internet, some of the Lord’s famous memes include:
All jokes aside, Scott has leveraged his Lord fame successfully. His net worth stands at 25 million (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-5274755/What-Scott-Disicks-net-worth.html) and he has just over 20 million Instagram followers under the handle @Letthelordbewithyou. With all the drama, scandals, and coverage the Kardashians get I think that Scott did a great job of creating his own name from the KUWTK platform.
It is unclear on what the Scott Disick does now as his job. He hosts club gigs, does social media paid advertisements and still makes appearances in the latest’s Keeping up with the Kardashians episodes. So basically, gets paid to be famous, and even then, he can’t do that very well. Last year Scott accidently posted the instruction for a paid advertisement as his caption for his Instagram photo. Probably not the Lord’s best moment.

Scott is still shown on the Kardashians reality show and is rumored to take home almost 4 million a year for his scarce appearances (http://www.tmz.com/2015/07/13/scott-disick-keeping-up-with-the-kardashians-contract-kourtney-kardashian-breakup/). Most of Scott’s fame now comes from the brand and platform he created for himself including his social media.
Overall Scott Disick did a great job using Keeping up with the Kardashians to gain the spotlight. After realizing he has the potential to capitalize on his meme status, he followed through on his Lord status. Now Disick has multiple meme accounts dedicated to lines he has said on the Kardashian’s reality show. It no surprise that Scott used his KUWTK savage lord moments to capitalize on his following, after all he has spent many years learning from the Kardashian.
